Miriam Chandy Menacherry

Founder Director of Filament Pictures

"I have been called the underdogs-own-storyteller! and it makes me smile! It is the everyday heroes with all their frailties that interest me. A rat killer who takes me into the underbelly of the urban sprawl , stuntmen the unsung heroes of the film industry, children discovering music as resistance in a violent neighbourhood of Karachi, an indigenous family whose hip hop anthem becomes the rallying cry to protect the leopard they worship and a guerilla art movement that sheds light on stories of survivors of child trafficking.”
